Utilizing Google Translate As A Useful Tool To Write English Language-Article.

A long time ago before the internet was found, people are using a dictionary books to translate a foreign words. Millions of dictionary books were sold in hundred of languages all around the world.

For example: English to Indonesian dictionary, or in reverse Indonesian to English dictionaries. I've seen so many foreigners (mostly tourist), are traveling in my hometown with this books on their hands, trying to communicate with locals.

It was quite difficult to find just one word inside the book, along with couple thousand of words in it. You must search for the page according to the index letter, than looking for the meaning of it. If finding the meaning for just one word was so difficult, then what about trying to talk in a full foreign language we never heard at all? It must be a hard thing to do.

An example of Indonesian-English dictionary book is the one on the left side picture, it was a very famous dictionary earlier in Indonesia, and had been printed several times because it became best seller at the time. The word "Kamus" means dictionary in Indonesian. It was written by John M. Echols and Hassan Shadily, and was published by PT. Gramedia Jakarta as one of the biggest publishing company in Indonesia. You can still find this one on many books store available in Indonesia. But bringing this kind of books walking around the streets in Indonesia will make you looked like an old-fashioned tourist.

Then after the development of electronic technology, several company start focusing on mobile gadget, there was some electronic devices with special utility as a dictionary which was called "pocket digital dictionary", and it can be installed with more than just one language with the feature of speaking voice of the words. It was a huge development at certain time.

People were no longer need to search page to page in effort to looking for the meaning of a foreign word. They just need to type the word on a physical keyboard, press enter, and the small monitor will show them the meaning of the word and some phrase suggestions containing the word they was looking for. One of them is the digital pocket dictionary made by AlfaLink, which is priced around 200,000,00 Indonesian Rupiah (equal to $18,00).

After that, regarding the leap of mobile telecommunication devices rapid development, many smart-phone with powerful processors can be installed with a dictionary program. Such as Nokia with it's Symbian Operating System, and now we know Android developed by Google are already conquering the world with millions of gadgets using it. Then dictionary book and devices was barely forgotten, with people now can easily download a dictionary application available from the OS Store.

But for us blogger, especially people who write blogs in English language but not speaking English everyday as their primary tongue. We can use the powerful translator provided by Google: Google Translate. Blogging in other language is as easy as writing in our own language now.

Why is Google Translate so powerful? Because they can translate a huge amount of foreign words in count of second. Not just a few of language, but so many language around the world. It can be a very useful tools we can use to translate our article into full English paragraph without translating one by one. It saves your time a lot, and huge thanks to Google, it's totally free.

But if you translate from English to Indonesian, you'll find some minor problem that the translation is not one hundred percent accurate. The grammar is sometimes wrong and not well-stacked, but the spelling is perfect. The punctuation mark is often different from what Indonesian commonly used in the rule of EYD (stands for "Ejaan Yang Disempurnakan", an Indonesian rule of grammar and spelling). There often a space automatically given by Google Translate after a sentence before the dot mark.

Overall it was good, perfect spelling, and it's also very fast. The minor things is just some messy grammar and wrong punctuation mark. You can write a whole article in any language in just no time. A five star Google free service for the world.
